BLACK HISTORY MONTH

February is Black History Month, a federally recognized observance of the achievements, heritage, and historical contributions made by those of African ancestry. It's celebrated in February to honor the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln, who abolished slavery, and Frederick Douglass, the notable civil rights leader.
